Green thumb is itching, anyone else?

I prayed for a dry summer last year and we got it.  I also got a huge water bill from watering the garden all summer.

The thing is we live near a creek and it was down, but we also have a sceptic system and it is a pain when the leach field gets wet.  To much building around the area raises the water table. I wish we had a sewer line but I doubt it will happen soon.

Michael , do you have a pond?
No I do not have a pond. I wish I did. My boys would live that. We do have a place on lake Oliver on the Ga/Ala line.

We can see some grass where I snow blowed but it will have to get a bit warmer for somoe of the ice to melt. The driveway is clean though, due to the black heat absorbing tarvia.

That's why I plant my Eggplants in pots and place them along the drive. They were first to flower last year.

They're talking flurries Saturday. What?

cherry 100's is very prolific and sturdy oh and not thick skined - Ive done these for many yrs. I'm in Texass on the Louisiana border and on the Gulf (known as South East Texas)

If you get a chance try Black Cherry tomato. You'll only need a couple of plants though as it is indeterminate and sooo prolific. It grows about 8 feet tall here in BC, Canada (or will crawl along the ground). It is a heirloom dark coloured very deep and sweet tasting cherry tomato. Great to pick and freeze to toss onto pizza or pasta or cool off a bowl of soup. Pick the little tomatoes not quite ripe so they don't split.
