Grey Runner eggs (Holderread SQ stock) trade for:

packed carefully in bubble wrap, ends open with paper touching, and shavings or foam in reinforced box to keep the elephants from destroying them...who work for the PO....
or I have Silkie Ducks and Saxony Ducks (SQ from Holddereads)...also consider Exotics is not too hard to hatch with proper permits...waterfowl or peacocks, pheasants or guineas (that are SQ)...
negotiable and possibly add $ either way... any rare/heritage breed that is a good 'setter' for other eggs...

I only have Grey (wild Mallard coloration) Runners. Not silver.Yes I would sell some Grey eggs...3.00$ each up to a dozen.But it is getting warm here in the upper 70-85 ... I store in a cool place, but warm temps aren't good for hatching eggs.

Literally any color morphs other than the chocolate I have I'd be interested in. I'm perfectly willing to wait until winter as well, it's quite hot here also.

Um,the Greys do not lay all year... the lay less than whites and are show bird strain so can't guarantee if I will have any in fall or winter... Last year, I don't think they layed much after mid summer...

I guess I don't understand. They don't lay in the winter or fall, and it's too hot to ship now. Is the ad for only local? I apologize for my ignorance.

It is more like... if you want some this year, the window is closing before it is too hot to send them. Stored eggs due best around 50 degrees, colder or warmer knocks the fertility down. Right now and maybe a few more weeks if the temps are 'normal ' and not a hot spike they could still be sent . (I have 10 females, they don't all lay every day). by June it is usually full summer (but some years we get a real hot spring and some we do not. If storms come thru, it is nice and cool. I have found my 'wild colored" ducks and blacks are more seasonal layers and lay about half as many eggs as say a white or cream colored duck (buffs,saxony or apricot) and was surprised last year that they stopped laying right about the time I was thinking of setting some in the incubartor, (that and when they choose to molt stops laying). Soooo if you want some this year, right now is the best chance, but say a month ago was slightly better. I include 'extras' to anyone I send eggs too because sometimes the postal handling is rough, sometimes a shell could be weak, sometimes they are not 100% fertile...(forecast says upper 70's to 81 next couple days; which is still pretty good).

Ah! I get it now, sorry for the misunderstanding. It then begs the question, do you have any more productive SQ runner ducks? I'd really like to get a SQ foundation flock started, and I'm truly not picky about color, I am in love with my poorly bred backyard runners.

No, I only raise the Holderread Show Quality strain of Grey Runners. You can get 'production runners ' from the large hatcheries, they are usually fatter and do not stand as upright and heads and beaks can be rounder etc... I do show a bit and wanted SQ. If you want lots of eggs go with whites or Kahki Campbells...
