Grilled chicken & spinach Alfredo?

A very Quick & Easy Alfredo Sauce...tastes Great!!

1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long. Toss with hot pasta to serve.

You can spice it up by adding a bit of Pesto to it as well for some Pesto Alfredo

Enjoy!

I like culinary history - I like to know the 5 W's of food - the old tale I heard was that this chef Alfredo's wife was pregnant and couldn't keep food down - so he crafted this dish for her, she was able to eat and asked for it all the time. He then added it to the restaurant menu. Read the Wikipedia link - I think you'll be surprised to see how much the original Alfredo recipe has changed...
