I am so sorry you all are going through this! I to have a bum leg, I have one blood clot and a vein that is messed up even after surgery in November. I still have issues (obviously) and they want to do surgery again but our insurance is horrible and we cant afford another medical bill right now!

Keep your chin up, & try to get yourself some rest.

Thankfully this is all on workman's comp., so we have one less bill to worry about. I didn't like the w.c. nurse at first, but she's turned out to be great. I still don't like the orthopedic surgeon. He's the kind that thinks he's a god; but he knows his stuff and he undoubtably saved my husband's life. Love, love, LOVE the internist. I would consider switching from our current internist if it weren't such a hassle.
The w.c. nurse has said that they may be going back and paying the bills for the heart attack too, since it was blood clots from the leg that caused the heart attack.

Take care of your leg.

I just chatted with #1 via text message. She tells me that Keith is very depressed at this point. He's tired of looking at the four walls in his hospital room and tired of being stuck in the bed.
I told her to catch the doctor in the hallway - if the doctor comes around before I get there - and let him know.

Continued prayers and good wishes, please.

I'm so sorry to hear that he is depressed. I am fixing to put his card in the mail. I'm am sending it to the hospital and then I'll send yours to the house. Hopefully, he will get to go home soon. Or maybe they can find him something to do that he will enjoy. My prayers are with both of you.

I'm grabbing anything that may be of help to him, magazines, playing cards, the pictures of the boys I printed out last night. I just talked to his nurse about his meds. Maybe they can help with medication.
She said he can't get up in a chair until they get a special "boot" on his foot and they have had to order it. Big footed man.

Thanks

yeah.... they should be able to start him on some meds... zoloft helped me---it's a big deal to have a heart attack, so many emotions tied to it and each person has their own journey and circumstances to deal with and hurdles to get over... very surreal.

I just saw this too. I'm so sorry for all you're going through. You are all in our thoughts. I hope they can help Keith's spirits with meds for the time being.

I know what he needs....... He needs a laptop so we can all talk to him. We'll cheer him up or drive him nuts one.

Hopefully they can give him something to help. The longest I have been in the hospital was for 8 days and it was boring! Maybe you get him one of those little hand held poker games. Those are pretty fun.
