Ok, so Tucker sheds quite a bit less than Chase😂 I still think Chase is really good for a golden though.
When we were looking into goldens Denver definitely fits the shedding description.
Brushing Tucker when he was a puppy i was like he isnt normal until he grew and has more field style. Even at 5 months Denver was shedding like crazy.

Is that considered an undercoat rake? I didn’t know they could look like that.
Its called a undercoat rake
Looked it up, they are called undercoat rakes. So what is the difference between what you and I have if they are called the same thing?
Im not sure. I mean i know some have blades and some dont but they look completely different

What brushes do you use @oldhenlikesdogs ?
For my Aussie I use an undercoat rake, than follow up with a greyhound comb, not sure why they are called at as greyhounds don't need combing. I occasionally use a slicker to pick up the loose coat, but they can easily scratch the skin if too much pressure is used, so I use it lightly. Slickers are best for line brushing which thankfully I don't need to do with Pepper.

The short coat dogs are either my hands, or a zoom groom which is a rubber curry brush. Occasionally I use the shedding blade to remove some loose coat. They don't require brushing.

The ones with blades aren't a good choice as they are actually cutting the coat. People think they are deshedding with them, but they are mostly cutting the coat, both the undercoat and the top coat.

I don't use a brush with blades as they do cut the coat.
