I have a friend that has a fresian X appy, and your girl looks just like him, except fot the spots. It should have been my first guess, but I was looking at the angle of the shoulder and thats made what me think belgian. Nice horse though....... Oh, and no thanks on the rooster, lol

We had a similar thing happen to us. We bred our Arabian paint mare to an Arabian paint stud and got a colt with two tiny white socks and the colt shed out to a dun color LOL

LOL, no thanks, I like my horses big. Well, bigger....my "little" gelding is 16H, and my mare is 17hands. both appendix QH.

I like mine big, too. The mare I actually ride (the one that isn't a pasture potato around here

) is 16.3. TB/Trakehner cross.

How old is she? Maybe with some serious training she could be a child's hunter/jumper. I know many people will pay a pretty penny(talking big money!) when it comes to child sized jumpers. Pony sized jumpers are in huge demand around here. Just a thought.

You can see it more in her now that she's unclipped and hairy. Different angles you can see more of it in her, too. She has nothing of the gait, though. She doesn't have the really high knee action that most Friesans have. She actually moves quite nice. The only real problem I have with her is the stallion was a little guy, maybe 15 hands, and so is she. She's just barely over the line for a large pony. Too little for me! She'd make someone a nice trail or maybe even pleasure horse for littlel local shows. Total sweetheart, even if she is a little weird!!

Don't under estimate the little guys. We have a 15H Arab/QH cross and he does amazing things. Look at Teddy O'Connor ( may he rest in peace ) that was qualified for the Olymipics with Karen O'Connor. He was PTS due to a freak accident this past week. He was just under 14.2H and took the Eventing world by storm. I'll miss seeing him this summer at the Olympics.
What were your plans with her?

I honestly didn't have a plan for her. I just didn't want to see her go to auction. When it started looking like she was going to be a little girl, I was really hoping that she'd stay a large pony--then she could have had a "job" on our local show circuits. I haven't put a stick on her in awhile, but I think she's probably going to mature to around 15 hands. Unfortunately there is no market for a 15 hand horse as a hunter/jumper in this area--even on the local circuits. If it's not a pony, it had better be 16.2 or, preferably, larger--even for a childrens/junior horse. She's not typey/fancy enough to be a small junior on the A hunter circuit, and too small to even be a small (she'd never get down the lines). Honestly, I don't even know if she can jump (well, of course she can, but I have no idea if she has any actual talent). I think that she'd be better suited for dressage or maybe as an english pleasure horse at local shows, where she could just plop around little courses. But her size is a real limitation--not physically necessarily, but because of the "type" that people want.

Maybe she'll just be my 'ol reliable trail horse in a few years, when she's older and quiet and I'm old and scared.
