Guess What?.... Chicken butt. But like for real.

So how do you trim chicken butt feathers? My 3 yr old Black Austrolorp named EE needs a trim before winter sets in and I need to find out how.

While I never trimmed the butt feathers, my cochin's poop usually landed straight in the butt feathers. Very unsightly. I could see the need in their case!

EE gets heavy amounts of hard crap stuck on her but for no reason. It get's bad and builds up very quickly and is hard to get off. To get it off we soak her but when it's 20 degress out I don't wanna put her bum in a bucket of water. It has to be handled otherwise left untreated it will literly cover her vent.

I would suggest wrapping the bird like a burrito and trimming that way.

it's like rocks of poop. We don't understand why because no one else gets like this. She's a very good girl and semi enjoys the soakings but we dont' want to turn her but into a frezzie pop. She gets soaked about once a week.
