guinea behaviors

We had 6 guineas. Now that they are 7-8 months old, they are turning a bit mean. I notice they often ostracize one of my sweet hens to the outer yards, and she often flys over the fence. What is with this behavior? I think I have but one male in the bunch.

Guineas are way different than chickens when it comes to the pecking order. It is much more aggressive in some cases and guineas can kill chickens (not always). I found that guineas fight together a lot of the time. Not like chickens who fight one on one mostly. If you post in the guinea fowl section I'm sure someone can help you better than me. I've found that the more room you give guineas the less aggressive they are to each other and chickens.
