Guinea talk.

I know I would love to let Mary Jane hatch just one time so we could have some little keeters. I have two people that would like to have some. A lady I used to work with loves guineas and my husbands sister was quite impressed with them since they spent the whole day with her when she visited. I really think they were waiting for her to get up from the glider swing so they could have it back.

I don't think my guineas would eat tuna or gold fish. I found some of their millet left from when they were little and put it in their food bowl yesterday and they wouldn't touch it. I gave them some grapes and they wouldn't eat that either. They do love macaroni and spaghetti which isn't good for them but that is the only thing I can get them to eat besides boiled eggs.

I wish I had photo shop I would dress Spider and Mary Jane up. Guineapeeps has some cute outfits for her guineas.

Somebody on the facebook sight wanted to know if Spiderman and Mary Jane were house guineas. I told them no but they probably would like to be if I let them.

Have a great weekend to.

Have any of you checked out the "What is this chicken thinking?" thread? You post funny pictures of your chicken, Guineas, ducks, and other poultry and then people come up with funny captions. I ask because with I bet you all have some great pictures of your Guineas that would be great to post. Plus, I always get a good laugh every time I get one there and thought some on here would enjoy it too!
Here's the link in case anyone is interesting in checking it out:

We had two escape today while I was taking the rest of the flock inside, they flew on top of their barn and ran in our neighbors yard. Thankfully their dog is playful and herded them into the welded wire fence and i was able to snatch them up. But on better news we got our first chicken eggs today, a little brown egg.

I am glad you and the dog were able to herd them back to the coop. Congrads on the first egg. Are you going to blow it out and keep it

Wow! You were lucky you got them back, especially with the dog, but it sounds like that dog is a great one to have around in case you need to capture them again. Congrats on your first little brown egg! Very exciting times.....

Patty - we are all looking forward to seeing Mary Jane and Spider's little keets running around in your yard! I'm sure they will be little whipper snappers just like their parents. You are going to have to find more laps for the keets to set on or get a schedule going with your husband for their training.

Guineapeeps - forgot to mention your updated avatar. Love the Santa hat - it gets us in the mood for sure.

neighbors dog is a sweety she is all play and no bark much like my nieces dog. It was an exciting time trying to capture them that is for sure, so now they are on guinea timeout and do not get to free range with the rest of the flock and go into a 4x5 galvanized steel grated box (old trash box for a lumber yard) as their timeout space when they do not want to listen and run like little dumbies. So they got me back by digging six holes in the box for dust bathing.
