Guinea won’t fly

This is the rescued guinea I’ve posted about before. She’s doing fine free but she won’t fly over a fence—either to get from one place to another or to escape a pursuing dog. What do I do?

This is the rescued guinea I’ve posted about before. She’s doing fine free but she won’t fly over a fence—either to get from one place to another or to escape a pursuing dog. What do I do?

The only way to protect is by keeping it in a predator proof pen.

Thank you! I posted this in a different spot in case there were people who haven’t followed the original thread who might see it. I very much appreciate your advice. Yeah I wonder how happy she’d be in a pen. Sigh.

Can she see correctly? I have one of my young girls that maybe can see just shadows of things and does not fly or perch. I have another young girl that is totally blind and has learned how to listen for the others free-ranging.
