Yrs ago, they don't make it anymore as far as I know, Winchester made a lever action .410 shotgun a lot like their famous model 94 lever action rifle called the 9410, eight shot tube one in the chamber, sure would like to find one.
Taurus/Rossi 'circuit judge' five shot shotgun/rifle .45/.410 is pretty cool too, just wish they had a smoothbore choked barrel option. Doesn't make much sense to me if you only wanted to use it as a .410 shotgun to have a fully rifled barrel with a short straight choke to straighten the shot out.

Henry is making a lever action .410. Had the opportunity to shoot a friends and it is sweet. Would make a nice small game gun, and short range big game gun.

Years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer on both sides, and the lymph nodes were affected. They started under one armpit, and removed everything all the way to the other armpit, leaving very little muscle tissue. I was never to lift anything over 5 pounds again in my lifetime. I worked the little remaining muscle tissue, and worked it, and worked it. Over time, I built it up quite nicely. Even my cancer surgeon was completely impressed.

Dh is in law enforcement. At that time, things were going on, and law enforcement, and their families were being targeted. Dh decided he was going to introduce me to firearms. He didn't believe me when I told him I actually knew how to use several types of guns, but hadn't shot one in over 10 years. The first problem was that I could not hold the gun steady for any length of time, and I couldn't pull the slide at all. It took me 3 months of steadily working my muscles, until I was able.

Finally, he took me to the gun range. He was impressed with my capabilities, but there was just one problem. He used targets with the silhouette of a person. My groupings were spot on, but all in the crotch area on the target. He got to talking to co-workers, and they told him to use a different type target next time. They told him I was picturing someone in that silhouette, and subconsciously targeting the groin area. I had to assure him, it wasn't him I was picturing. LOL! We went back with different targets. That evening, he told me to pick a gun, and that would be my Christmas present.

I wanted a certain .357, with a certain trigger job, Pachmayr grips, and 3 Safariland speedloaders. He thought I was nuts. I have to say, law enforcement uses guns with magazines. I decided I wanted a Glock G21. He really tried to discourage me from getting it, but I held fast. If he wasn't going to let me have the revolver I wanted, then he was darn sure going to get me the G21. Most women don't like a .45. He even rented one for me at the gun range, to test drive. When we left the gun range, he agreed I could have my G21. BTW, he's since discovered I knew exactly what I was talking about with the original pistol I chose. He's changed his mind about me getting what I wanted to begin with.

Next birthday he decided to get me a shotgun. I wanted a .410. He knew nothing about a .410, and was against it. I picked a 12 ga. He, like most men, figured I couldn't handle it, but I held out. I got a Mossberg 590A 1 SPX. Like with the revolver, I had to build up my muscles to be able to hold it steady for any length of time. We went to buy ammo. He bought a few boxes of short, bird shot. I grabbed 3 inch, 000, and slugs. He just shook his head at me, knowing darn well I would not be able to handle it. 6 weeks later, I was ready to test out my shotgun. He loaded it for me, with the birdshot, telling me how it was going to recoil. I emptied it, then grabbed the 3 inch, 000 shells, and reloaded. He literally stood behind me, so he could catch me. A couple boxes later, I loaded up the slugs. I went through quite a bit of ammo that day. Later that night, he came up, and grabbed my shoulder. I just looked at him. He was shocked. He even commented about my shoulder not being sore, and how he was so surprised. He was concerned though, about my lack of muscles, and if the semi-auto might be better for me. I researched them, and decided against it.

The place where we bought my shotgun, was owned by a veteran. He had been shot in the shoulder. He had the exact shotgun I had, but with a modification. He put on a Blackhawk recoil reducing stock. It's so funny, because I was reading some of the gun threads about them. A lot of younger people were saying they didn't like them, because they experienced a higher number of "cheek slaps", yet the older folks loved them. Feeling really dumb, I had to find out what cheek slap was. The more I read, the more obvious the answer became. We had the new stock put on. BTW, they are FANTASTIC! For the record, Dh liked my shotgun so much, he generously offered to trade one of his, for mine. NO WAY! He ended up getting one of his own. In the meantime, he's researched .410's and has decided I was right, and now he wants one too.

I picked the rifle I wanted. Again, he suggested something else. I reminded him that I had been right about my prior selections, and there was no point in arguing. He got what I wanted. Then I started putting the things on it I wanted. The first time he tried out my rifle, he wanted it. He still wants it. Heck NO! He can get his own.
