well back from both mule deer hunting (a few weeks ago) and just got back from elk hunting,

got nothing mule deer hunting going back during the high power season, saw maybe 200 mule deer and maybe 100 antelope, and many more in the distance. but shot at a few mule deer and missed (mainly do to the fact my scope was off and did not know until the last day) like i said going back during rifle season.

elk hunting, i saw two not sure if they where cows or bulls (i only have a cow tag) so i never got a shot off and i only saw them for a second or two and only the hind end. friend who got drawn for moose and elk, got a big cow moose about 700-800 lbs we guessed, going to be some good eating there.

back from mule deer hunting.

tagged my first big game animal/buck. got a 3 by 3 mule deer. really happy nothing big but he is going to be good eating.

Congratulations! I don't like them when they're too big. They tend to be a bit tougher, and gamier. The ones that are a bit on the small side tend to be tender, and taste better.

Our weather has been pitiful for deer hunting. Either too warm, or when it cooled down, it’s been very wet. Can’t believe I haven’t done any bow hunting at all this year. But rifle season opens here next Monday, so we are hoping to go out.

hello everyone,

think am going to get into more target shooting, got one of those metal targets for .22lr's now just got to sight in my marlin 795, plus need to become a better shot at using rifles am not that bad with a shot gun but rifles its um not the best lol.

We did get to go out today. I only saw one deer (doe) and a huge flock of turkeys, but my hubby saw a bunch and got a buck right before sunset. My back is aching from climbing up and down hills, but the deer jerky will eventually make it worth it.

Hoping to go back out Friday.

that is awesome about the deer and wow that is cool about the turkeys.

you guys turkey hunt? my province is like the only one with out wild turkeys we get pheasants (to hunt) but i rather hunt turkeys. lol
