We have 8 (used to be 9) leghorn cross hens from a neighbor. At least 4-5 of them lay white eggs. One lays pinkish eggs, another lays light tan, but the prize of the bunch is the Leghorn/EE cross. We get nice mint green eggs from her. I hatched at least 1, maybe two, pullets from her, hoping they lays tinted eggs too.

I specifically did not want white eggs when I started...now I kinda do.
Then I wouldn't have to paint them white!

I have a dozen leghorn hatching eggs booked; and one reason is to get a few white eggs. The other reason you already know. And I said I'd NEVER get a dark egg laying chicken. Now I just want a couple so I can tell the difference. For breeding/hatching an stuff. (Never say never.)

Me neither. All my current layers are giving me pale blue eggs (CCL's) ... They might make a great Frankenstein.
