Ya they just sat it in a tall cup and opened it up and dropped it in and closed it again. If u bailey put it in cup and open the plastic wrap it holds in spot so u can add calcium. I just dont know how much and how often. I think it was twice daily but Google to be sure.??can't wait for pics of this if you post any.I'm going to put the calcium between the plastic wrap and the egg insides. I'm going to try a few different ways including dropping some in.
The bird I seen them do tho wasn't a chicken it was a regular bird that you have to feed with a dropper like you would with a baby cocktail. And those are born way different than a chicken egg.!!Ya they just sat it in a tall cup and opened it up and dropped it in and closed it again. So crack the egg open and leave the egg contents inside like on the bottom half?So cool! Following! I was going to try this last summer, I decided instead of using calcium powder which was unavailable I used half an egg shell. It provides air and calcium. You just crack the egg in. Then you don't have to mess around with oxygen under the cup and you can still watch the chick grow. Just my 2 cents. This will be fun to watch! Good luck!![]()
Well, you crack an infertile or non hatching egg, use the bottom half of that egg, and crack the fertile egg into it. That's what I was going to do. I had all these plans drawn up and I never got around to trying it last summer because we got really busy. Maybe I'll try it this summer. This will be great reference for when I get some good experiment eggs. I don't know how to do it in my incubator though, I can't fit a cup in there.
