My humidity has gone to about 42 - 45
Is that bad? Only on day 5

Your humidity should be fine. Did you recently add water?

My humidity is all over the place, it drives me nuts!!

Oh and I am in BIG trouble, I just bought a dozen eggs to add to my 29 in there. I have never done so many and this will fill up my bator. Oh Lord, WHAT was I thinking????

Vicki - are you sure your hygrometer is working correctly?

Yeah, pretty sure. It happens with every hatch and 3 different hygrometers I have tried. It is because our humidity is so low, so I add, it spikes up and then drops down and the cycle continues. Some days it will hold for a couple of days. Most times, I add water everyday. I am getting it down a little better, but adding small amounts at a time and using a sponge to hold it longer.

you know what I've figured out with mine? I need to add a turkey bastor squirt every other day. Now I have no idea exactly how much that is

but it brings it to around 40-41 and stays there.
