Shoot...my bator that I'm using to hatch is so loud, I don't think I'd be able to hear peeping. I went home and talked to them at lunch, but no answer...

I'm at day 19, 100, and 70%

Peeping just started today which is 20 for some and 19 for the late eggs, and only 20 of 23 for the turkeys and then the low temps and the power out, I didn't expect to hear anything for another day or two. And I'll be waiting out eggs for probably another five to seven days as long as none goes stinky, because of the delays.

OMG that is the most amazingly small sound.

I haven't ever hatched in an incubator before. I put clear eggs in a box 19/20 days ago and now one is talking to me. Why am I surprised? I'm just floored by how weird and cool and odd it is. I really didn't expect to be ... surprised isn't right, amazed is off... I can't find the right word. I knew perfectly well what was supposed to happen. All the logic. All the rules. All the why.

And yet is still seems odd that it works at all.

I have 2 eggs on day 20. 1 has pipped and is peeping and rocking all over the place.
Nothing at all from the other.

My Halloween batch is getting ready to go in the hatcher, haven't seen any rocking or
movement from them at all.

I don't see or hear anything of course...but they are in my closet door closed as that is what is the most stable....

The little computer fan I stuffed in there doesn't make much noise and they're right next to the computer so I can hear pretty much every peep. I wish he/she/they would shut up and make a HOLE already... sigh.

If I say chick chick chick, I get peeps... omg.

OMG!!!!! Day 19 and I have two pips already!!
I came in from work & feeding the animals, and I found two eggs. One is trying to zip and the other has just pipped!! Can you believe it??!!??

The second one to pip actually did it in the middle of the egg. I hope that won't be a problem...
