Sounds like a severe prolapse. Wouldn't think the chick will make it. Sometimes the muscles of an embryos anus or ova duct or vaginal wall don't form properly and the attached organs, prolapse aka fall out. I've seen it in a variety of animals, and one baby.

Other than situations where a doctor or veterinarian (some people try with puppies) can see to it immediately the results are usually fatal.

I figure she is not going to make it but for now she is comfortable and sleeping . After this hatch is over guess I go searching the medicals again for something like this and how it happens and anything you can do. This one is a new one on me. Time for more research. I think everyone has decided now it is time. Have pips everywhere another one almost zipped out. So they know this is day 21. It was long night and by the looks of it its going to be a busy day. fingers crossed for everyone elses hatch chicks hatch.

Well, I still have nothing...Granted mine aren't due for 2 more days, but I am so used to them hatching early, I am going to go CRAZY!!!

It figures that I would finally figure out what the problem is!

way to go texas and thank you so far she is hanging in there I put a bandaid on her boo boo to put some pressure to stop the bleeding so it is gods hands, I now have 6 out 2 zipping and 6 pipped. its getting busy around here.

Nothing going on around here yet. Temps and humidity are good but no pips or cheeping or anything...Tomorrow is day 21 though, so they still have time...Not their fault I am impatient
