Here's a couple of the chicks that have hatched.

And here is the one I am hoping really hard that will make it. It pipped first over 24 hours ago. I'm really worried about this one. Send me hatching vibes, quick...

APage--If your humidity was low and they were stuck in the shell, they are probably just sticky. You can clean them off, or just leave it, and let it come off on its own.

And you aren't interrupting!!! But it may be hard to get a word in!!! I know my posts end up being about a page apart!!

If they are peeping, it usually means they need something. Did you dip their beaks in the water to show them where it is? Make sure the temp where they are is a steady 95 degrees. They shouldn't peep much with a lot of them in there. I just put 4 babies in the big brooder with the other babies. I never heard them peeping. Except one, and it died at a day old.

I'm up to 2 w/ 6 more pips!!

Too bad I have to go to bed now...otherwise I won't get up for work in the morning! Talk to you all tomorrow! Good luck overnight!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to see most of them. The mama they will be with is very picky!! I bought her with babies earlier this year, and she wouldn't let me anywhere near them!! But I should have 3 babies inside, plus I have a box full of chicks from 1 to 6 weeks old, so I do have babies to cuddle!! Plus my quail babies that are privileged and get to stay in the house!!

I thought I didn't need to put any water in for awhile as they just hatched about noon today . . .I was going to leave them alone until tomorrow afternoon when they would hopefully be dried off. . .do I need to put water in for them to drink. . they are still in the incubator.

I didn't put food or water in mine. I didn't want to open it, since I have several pipping and zipping still. They are okay for the first 72 hours, but then...watch out! LOL!
