I set 25 shipped eggs last night that'll be due the week of Halloween

Heck Yeah! I should be having 4-5 Ayam Cemani's hatching on Halloween. We just came off of our very first hatch last Friday.

Congratulations! Cemanis are quite beautiful.

I don't do incubators but...I was out of town last week & came home Monday to find my langshan sitting on 3 eggs. I let her keep them but I marked them and she will not get more. This is her 3rd time this year!
One of my cuckoo marans wants eggs but I won't let her have them. She bit me when I gathered eggs earlier! Maybe I will give her an egg or two for Halloween.
I need more space. Good luck all.

This might be a stupid question but what does “clean combed” mean??

Everyone in my household cannot wait until the 10th because I'm taking all the eggs to hatch. But they won't be complaining when we have chicks and they get to keep some.

I've got a problem with inverted combs in at least some of my hens. The worst one is gone now, so I'm wanting to see if any of them are lacking the defect. I'm just calling defect-free "clean."

Inverted combs. Would you please show me this? Ive never seen or heard of it and am very eager to learn about those defects. My wyandottes have a sprig issue.
