Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

SPR (silver pencil rocks) aren’t auto sexing, but... they are. For whatever reason, 80+% are born light boys, and dark girls. I think of 12 in the above hatch, I was wrong about one.

i think i’m up to 20 now......??? those lil boogers are tough to count!! planning to wait until morning for first brooder pull as several pipped and active hatches......yes @Texas Kiki i know this will probably give you a heart attack!!
(but as far as i can tell, no one has s**t in the bator yet)

I waited 5 whole hours after my first one hatched to move them to the brooder.
Only about 30 minutes after the second hatched but there was poop in the bator...I couldn't leave them in there a second longer.

I still can't believe I had one poop in the bator.
I swear this has never happened to me before.
I almost died when I saw it.

I’m sure I’ll be back to questioning my poor life choices in no time though

I don't want poop in my bator ever.
I don't even like seeing the little shell pieces fall on the grippy stuff...I have to pick a few pieces up every time I candle.
