Hi again! I went out at 3 a.m. to see if the second chick had gotten any farther and it had completely hatched out! But my real surprise was that another chick had hatched also! So now we have 3 new chicks and two more eggs. So awesome!

I candled last night, and it doesn’t look like any quail eggs are developing. Only one is a golden brown, and two very speckled. The other seven are light, and I don’t see a thing. I’m keeping them in because I’m stupid enough to think they will magically hatch in a week.

Acting normal with normal poo.

I lost 1 of the younger quail with the temp fluctuations.....I believe it was an “odd man out” and did not huddle with the group when temperature dropped?? that’s the best idea I could come up with anyway......

As long as whatever was wrong is okay now, I can incubate later. If not, I do want quail around, so I’ll order from a local place. Sorry to those that trust Myshire, I don’t.

I still think they’re good. Tons of people have ordered from them and had great hatch rates!
