I grabbed 5 eggs from my fridge yesterday, they were in there 2 days, I doubt they'll hatch but I wanted to fill my egg turner. I grabbed 2 fresh ones this morning because it was killing me that I had 2 empty spots left
did you mark the fridge eggs?? so you can update us on hatch rate? @Texas Kiki did a batch that included fridge eggs and had a pretty good hatch rate??? she can give you the rate!

I set 16 eggs that had been in the fridge for at least a week.
11 of those eggs were fertile and 8 hatched.

Yes, I have a notebook and I wrote all the dates on the eggs so I should be able to tell which ones were the refrigerated. The ones that I put in yesterday were from 2 of my chickens that lay pinkish eggs, they lay smaller ones which is another concern I have about chicks hatching from them.

I'm hoping I get something from these even if it's only 2 chicks out of 41 eggs. I'm just so new to this.

When I was 7 my grandfather used to incubate ostrich eggs... That was one thing I will never forget even when I am 90 years old. It was the most amazing experience. Every time I would go over to his house he would pull out his candler and we would look at the eggs. He's the reason why I'm an animal person... He's also the reason why I want to hatch ostrich eggs. He passed away when I was 9, but the memories of him are still clear as day 23 years later.
