Yes ma'am but theyre not bought. I created black sex links with my Svart Hona roo and a pair of cuckoo marans hens. They were extra things my friend threw in when i restarted with her downsizing. It was actually the attempt to make olive eggers. Only like 75% made good colored eggs these girls lay a nice dark brown. An amerucauna crossed to a marans hen. They were suposed to be eatin eggs as failed OEs and i when i realized id make sex links i started setting them you seem to be learning fine from over here, glad youve got abuncha fluffs and that the first two look good now! sorry the hubby woke u at 2AM to have a look

He was like a kid and it made me laugh because I've never seen him light up that much over something besides a new puppy. He texted me all day yesterday asking if any of hatched

I'm learning as I go and I realize that there's a lot more to it then what most people say. It's been fun though. I plan on setting more eggs I think it's November 7th so that they can hatch near Thanksgiving. My Cochin has been laying regularly for several weeks so I was thinking about putting some of hers in just to see what they look like. I'm going to try to put some of my barred rocks in too, but I don't know if she's mated with the roosters yet. I'm going to check for fertility when we make breakfast this weekend.

Yours are next When should you be receiving your eggs and when do you plan on setting them?

I know! I’m super excited!!

They are supposed to ship Tuesday (the 5th) so depending on when they get here, I should set them Friday or Saturday?

I’ve ordered chicks from them twice and both orders got here next day but I don’t know if eggs are going to be the same or not. We will see. If so, I was planning on letting them rest a day or two before putting them in?

I might end up setting them Thursday instead if they get here early enough.

But the thanksgiving hatch a long officially starts the 8th right? Or at least that’s the official chicken set date? But I’m sure one day early will be fine. We will see. It depends when they get here.

if i remember correctly it was 2-3 day shipping on the eggs....so should arrive to you wednesday or thursday at latest.....i can’t remember if they send tracking information or not

That makes sense!! I think they do but they usually get here so faster it doesn’t even have time to be updated

I usually didn’t even check for the tracking info for the chicks, just got a text and email reminder when they shipped and waited for the call from the post office haha

I may have to call them and tell them to hold the eggs??
