Handling Hardware Cloth. I can tell you how NOT to do it.

I am getting a whiff of an excuse to replace my Dremel. Is there a special cutting wheel you prefer for wire?
It's just a metal cutter. Works great on that metal roofing stuff and the hardware cloth. Has to be pretty firm though. I wanted to get lazy on some chicken wire cages but the chicken wire is too flimsy to hold and cut with the circular saw.

I bet they make a metal cutting blade for the Dremel and it might be easier as it's smaller.

I figured I'd just put it on a piece of scrap plywood and lay a strip on top too. Then run the saw down the edge. That should hold it pretty good.

We live in the middle of nowhere as well. Still, my husband is convinced the neighbors have a telescope so they can see me naked. I figure if they went through all the effort just to see my naked they deserve it!
*giggle fit* Our closest neighbor is 3 miles away and it's my brother!!! Though, if he drove up and I was standing out in my bra, he would never come over again!

Kinda like how I walk around the house sometimes in my bra. I figure if anyone is looking in my back patio door, they deserve it! Shouldn't be looking!!

I use a Dremel and let the tool do the work for me. You can buy a set of different blades for all sorts of projects

With all the naked poultry farming going on, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with an anonymous gift of ducks/chicks in a basket on your doorstep! "Keep up the good work, Ladies! Love, your neighbors"

Another question on this subject (hardware cloth) - is there a way to finish the edges so they don't scratch you every time you come near?

Cut them as close as possible, then take a file and file them down. Usually quick and easy if you cut them close enough
