Oh I envy you so much! Enjoy yourself and your boys!!
Sorry you couldn't take Mavis. Wonder if she would have gotten in the water? Lol
By the way, when you lay eggs down, do you prop them at all to have the air cell end just a tad elevated? I tried watching the broodies and noticed alot of times, the eggs were positioned under them with the pointy end in toward the center of the nest, having the air cell slightly elevated in the bedding. I wonder if that would help have less malpositions on shipped eggs especially![]()
The water is freezing here! My mom kept saying she would swim away if I brought her.

I don't really try and point the eggs that way when I lay them down. I've read that before, though. It really depends on shape. Some will naturally point with the air cell slanted up and some of my girls lay really round eggs that roll at the slightest bump and I'm lucky just to keep them still while they're on their sides!
Hey can anyone help me dose with nutridrench? I don't want to make a whole gallon for just 1 chick.
Just put 3 drops directly into the chick from the bottle. No need to mix with water. I drip kinda on the side of the beak and usually they drink but if they are out of it, I open the beak and put a drop right in but only a tiny bit at a time. You want to avoid the middle of the back of the throat, they can choke/aspirate.
