Hands on hatching and help

Or wake with crazy fear if God forbid they actually slept through the night!!!

Ahahah,,yes! That, lay there for hours exhausted, but WIDE awake because what if they need me? Sleeping thru the night (in this house)warranted a call to the peditricain, both grandma's &varied other mothers. I swear the little boogers actually would smile in their slumber,,,like they knew I was under their spell.

Just as bad with my pets..my Americauna must know I'm waiting on her final egg to start my hatch-has she laided yet today? NO course not.

2,4,5 are no good,

number 6 looks like he started then stopped.

ONe looks odd to me, you say he's moving?...

THREE LOOKS GREAT>>>>>

Seven hard to tell Pic is blurred,

Eight, looks good even though his air cell is not cooperating yet...

Number Two looks like he's got small hair line cracks. In fact they all seem to have open pores.
7 and 8 are the same egg....I just took the second shot from a different angle.

I would like to see a video of number One, he looks very odd to me..
I'll do that tonight after dark.

YES!!! Exactly. I have tried to explain this to my husband but he just looks at me with a blank stare! Lol! I KNEW my logic was not faulty! If someone else is thinking it, it must be true!

I still co-sleep with my youngest. I would love to have just one more baby but I am sure that him co-sleeping with us at age 2 is the biggest reason that that has not happened. Oh well.
LOL Mine is 8...lol His bed is in my room and he still has to be in mine! lol

Guess what? I open my incubator at least ten times yesterday and the duckling still managed to hatch. Go figure...

Yes!!!!! OMG is something wrong? He hasn't woke up in the middle of the night!!! lol

Okay every one.. We just had 11 babies hatch under momma on Easter when we noticed her out with the babies I went to check on the nest.. There happen to be 6 left and we're getting very cold so I rushed them in candles them 4 viable eggs were in the six.. The eggs have been water candled and all move and have been light candles and can see babies and movement.. My question is how long do yall think these babies will take to hatch? Momma duck had 20 eggs and these happened to be on the bottom so I don't believe when momma was laying on them they were staying at a high enough temp and seem to be delveloping a lot slower.. While candling I have seen feet does that help indicate how far along they are??
IF she's getting off the nest to start teaching the other babies how to do things, the eggs will get cold and it will take longer for them to come out, if you can incubated them that would be great then you can sneek them underneath her at night when she's got all the others ones under her. Can't just throw them out to her she may reject them.

If you leave them, she will likely get on them at night but not having warmth during the day is what will slow them down. Some may not even make it, she may get to the point of finding the new babies a new sleeping place and avoid the nest all together.

I would bate them myself, most of the work is done for you already, you just get the enjoyment of watching them hatch.. Once they are fluffed up, I would at night only sneek them back underneath.
