Hands on hatching and help

Also, I've been thinking that maybe your humidity was to high? How was the air cell growth? Did you trace them by any chance? And what did you find from the eggtopsies? How far along were the 3? If they were very close to hatch, was there a lot of fluid?
Air cells were great. I marked as I went. I haven't got the courage to open up the dead ones yet. ..going to do that tomorrow I suppose. 50 percent humidity here is me running dry. I live in Southeast Texas. I barely put any water in on a sponge and it shot up but I got the humidity under control pretty quickly. But......I just checked the last egg to confirm my fears of it being DIS as well and it has internally pipped. Now I'm super nervous that it won't externally pip, or that I will go to sleep and not be able to help it if it needs help. I'm going to pray and pray for this little chickie to make it out. I heard it cheep inside it's shell. How long does it take them to externally pip after internal pip?

It's pretty late so I don't know if anyone will see your post. Mine took quite awhile to pip once they had internally pipped. Of coarse mine always start in the middle of the night lol. I get up randomly all night and check on my eggs and chicks. Maybe you could set an alarm so that you can keep up with its progress? If it hasn't externally pipped after 24 hours then I would definitely start to worry. Good luck and I hope someone else can help more when they see this. Oh and until it externally pips it's safe to candle or even tap on the egg and listen for chirping or pecking. :)

Good news! I found a couple of Brinsea Octagons on FB, with turners, so I'm getting one. I'm not sure I'll hatch any more this season, but it sure will be nice to have an extra for next year. :yiipchick And I have to share a couple new pics of George. I got this adorable little guy from @Laurel Meadows and he already has me wrapped around his little toe. :) He's a real sweetie! It was wonderful meeting a fellow BYCer and her family! And one of her beautiful daughters picked a cute little boy for me (I couldn't choose!!) He will eventually replace my blue frizzle bantam cochin Armand (yes, Armand's days are numbered). Meet George!
Oh so cute!! George is perfect, considering everyone who sees him is gonna wanna squeeze him and hug him and call him... Well, George! ;)

I run 50% all the time with my silkie eggs, so if you were checking the air cells and growth was good then we can rule that out. I asked because sometimes styro & still airs do better with low humidity but the air cells will tell you. I'm so happy the last egg internally pipped! My silkies hatch day 21 if I run 99.5 (with forced air). So your egg is pretty much on time considering the low temps. Give him 24 hours and if you don't get an external pip then you can make a tiny, tiny safety hole just to let oxygen in. I have a pic. But I'm hoping and thinking he will pip on his own! :celebrate

Yay! Usually you see an external pip within 24 hrs or so.

Nothing yet, but I can still hear him peeping quite loudly in his shell. I played him some cheepy sounds off Youtube and bocked at him. I'm so afraid that he's not going to externally pip. I have no clue how long he had been internally pipped when I checked last night around 1 am. I guess I will just continue to monitor throughout the day.
