I have poultry vitamin powder? It's still giving the occasional peep. Hasn't fluffed up either the feathers are rock hard especially round the head.

Try dissolving a little in some warm water and give a couple drops of that... sounds like it was sticky gooey when it hatched, that stuff dries rock hard... once it's mobile you can gently soak and wash it off in very warm water, just keep it's bill out of the water... gentle towel dry and blow dry on low setting to keep it from getting chilled...

Is baby is killing me. Up all night still not hatched. I'm afraid to hurt it. Its definitely wanting out now. Moving like crazy and even managed to put a small tear in the hard membrane. Still some veins and I've caught a yawn or two. Just want him out!

Looks like it won't be long looking at the veins. Lazy ducks!!

Would it be safe yet? I'm almost positive I'll have to get him outof there or at least clear some membrane around top. When should I do that?

You could try and carefully remove the dried up membrane with blunt tweezers. That's what I usually do and then stop if you see blood and put it back. It's a slow process when helping

Can you guys give ma a thought on this chick. Was fine when I got it. Had some issues and now it wont use legs . Moves around,eats, poops, but no legs. Treating for cocci. Hes wet from drinking.
