Here are a few pics of my first ever chickens! They are five weeks old and well on their way to being full-fledged Chickens!! (I'm getting ready to order more eggs - I miss the babies already!!)

A few of the "barn yard mix" - the chicken in the middle is beautiful in person!

This pair is not the nicest on the block! The little roo has a real attitude and is working his way up the ladder to the stew pot!!

Never having had chickens before, I was not sure what to expect. I am however, getting very "IN TO" chickens!! There are two which I believe are Barred Rocks who love sitting on my shoes; I've named one Tootsie and the other one was TootsieTwo until I renamed her/him "Tank"... she/he is getting pretty big.

Their charming personalities - even the skittish ones - are fun to watch.

The LOVE Japanese Beetles and I'm winning lots of points by never going into the chicken yard without a handful of beetles!
