Hardware Cloth - Any tips?

You can sut it with tin snips just like cutting paper, roll it out (arch up) and walk on it to flatten, and I used galvanized staples and a hammer... worked well for me.

When putting hardware cloth on my chicken tractor, I used those u-shaped nails with points on both ends. Utility staples? Can't remember. I hammered them in.

It took a while to figure this out, but one end is longer than the other. If you hold it so that that end goes in first, tap in that longer side a bit and then let go once the short end touches the wood, it will generally go in nice and straight.

Until I figured this out they were going in ever which way and sometimes not at all.

Also, there are some duds in the box. If it is an odd shape just don't try to use it, because there are enough good ones in there.

I know nothing about carpentry, but just something I realized while working with it.

I know this is an old thread but I read it and couldn't help but laugh. We started the run and HC is a pain in my butt. Picturing all of us and our many scratches, tools being flung across the yard and all of wearing suits of armour is too darn hilarious.
