Firstly i know there is no such thing as a cure

But what do you think about this. Please let others know who would know too

My chick has ate a pin which is in his gizzard at the moment
Now we all know that vet bills are expensive!

So i was wondering if some sort of wire or something attached to a little strong magnet would be a way out
If i stick it in my chickens mouth all the way down and the magnet grabs the pin and i simply pull it out very slowly.

What do you think
It sounds insane but im willing to try.

It might have pierced the skin, in which case it would be hard to remove. Is it a needle or a thumbtack?
Needle type

So pointed
Im not sure if it has pierced the skin because there is no blood in his poop.
He is eating and drinking fine.
Plus he is fine otherwise

On a different note. Worth waiting for it to melt inside and work its way out.

Fish get hooks stuck in their mouths sometimes, and it melts out. I would say it's not good for him to digest, but maybe it he will just poop it out.
I would keep him in a place where he won't be stressed or make sudden movements. I'm sure you have already moved him to solitary confinement, so that should be good.

*edit: fish hooks get stuck in fish mouths. Not chicken mouths.

I have wondered about you and your chicken a lot the past few days! How is he?
Aww that is so sweet

He is still the same. Still tries to eat and drink.

He tried some cereal, crisps and egg.
He is doing okay. I meab if the pin pierced him, he would be in a great deal of pain and im glad to say maybe sid will be the first to survive a pin.

He is raised by myself indoors for all of his life so far. He was rejected by his mother at a day old. So he likes being indoors and watching people. He does loves us. Sometimes i think he is half human being raised by us.
I am dearly waiting for him to poop it out.

What do you think about stomach acid in chickens? Could i give him something to break the metal down. Its not like tough metal its a pin so woudlnt it be easier to break down.
I was thinking of feeding him apple cider vingear or something to help?...

What type of pin she ate ..
I can't say any way to get that out ..but if it's a staple pin and he eat it open it will going to hurt him or puncture him somewhere

But if he ate a pin with it close edge like a waste staple there's nothing to worry it will pass in his poop.or stay there lifelong

Give him.some bread and yogurt so it will wrap in the bread and out in his poop
