Harlee laid her first egg!!

So my WH laid her first egg last night ( her 5 month birthday) I think she would have laid sooner, but only got straw in her pen yesterday. It was the perfect size and lovely and smooth. Such an excited ducky mama

Thank you all. Laid a second egg yesterday (Wednesday) also have 5 still doing well in the incubator at day 21. Not bad from shipped eggs. Hopefully Harlee won't be a lone duck for much longer!

another egg today, and went to turn my incubated eggs, only to find one has started hatching!! 2 breaks in the shell but hasn't got through the membrane yet. Can it breath ok?

There is probably a small slit in the membrane, how can you tell it hasn’t gotten through the membrane yet? @WVduckchick @Texas Kiki
