Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 Incubator is AMAZING!

Your house maybe set at 65, but who knows what it really is ;)
If your therms are matching, go with those for now.

...or just buy one of these :D :

They seem to match at lower temps but not higher. I am returning the meat one and will try another one. Oh I know that may not be what my house is. Just wanted to see if they matched. Next to each other on the counter there was 7* difference. In the fridge they were basically the same.

Awesome! So glad to hear it! Yes, tomorrow would be day 3! I hope you can see some tiny spider babies!
:weeNow I just have to wait until evening! Some of the eggs are dark colored, so I think I won't bother with candling them, but I'll candle the silkie (cream/white) eggs. (and maybe try some of the lightest brown)

got the new meat thermometer and just did the ice test and it was spot on. so put it in the incubator to see what ti said and it shows 98/99 (hard to tell since it isn't digital but it is just under the 100 mark) the govee is saying 98.8/99 right now so wonder if the Govee was right the whole time. If it was then the 97's (low 97 or high 96) may have delayed things right? is it too late to fix that or should I leave the temps? I should be on day 6. If I candle tonight would it show something even if it was delayed?

I cleared out the govee so it is just keeping temps as of this morning for an average (so the low temps from the ice bath and fridge weren't throwing it off) right now it shows average is 99.5 which is good Low was 97.9 but that was an hour or so after I put it back in. high was 100.5 so guess I will leave it now but my main thing is the huge drops over night when the ave is only 98-99 or so for the whole night.

Day 6. Candled and didn't see anything. Could see the yolk some looked darker overall than others. One looked like I could see the tiniest dark spot that moved around when I moved the egg but didn't notice any veining. Not sure if it runs low since new thermometer has been around the 98 since I put it in. The govee has an average of 99 since this morning. Idk would that delay it that much that on day 6 I wouldn't see anything?

Will try a couple on Thurs then try to wait till Sat and do them all. That will be day 10 so if nothing obvious then should I toss them?

First of all, YAY the new thermometer works!!!

Those short drops and increases really shouldn't affect the development or hatch at all.

By day 6 I REALLY think you would see something. Especially with you having a bright candler. The images I shared before had a very heavy bloom and I was still able to see a lot. When the shells are porous, dark, or heavy bloom it can be difficult to make things out but you can still see SOMETHING. So if you're only seeing yolk at day 6 then I would say they're probably duds.

Any time you're unsure you can always wait longer and remove all doubt.

Ya I will leave them till day 10 since I am new. Would rather be completely sure JIC. But figured I would see something.

Guess I will collect from Sun( 2 days ago) till Sat and set those on Sun or Mon. I may play around with the temp for a day to see what it does.

I know it's disappointing but if they're not fertilized at least you were able to go through all this trial and error without it actually affecting a hatch! There's a bright side to everything! ;)

Not the best pics, but lots of the sells look like this "speckled" one when I candle them. Why do they look like this?

There is also a pic of the "dot" that was floating around in egg 2, it is right above my finger. But no veins seen. The pics are taken with them on the incubator light since when I tried on the flashlight it put lines in the pic....

Would opening some on Sat show anything? Would they stink?
