wow look at all those babies ready to pop on out! pretty soon it is going to be filled with fluffy balls and not eggs.In the ten mins since my last post another one pipped. Got some pics. I love how much visual access the NR360 offers. A feature that hasn't had a chance to shine until now.

I would chalk it up to weird spring hormones. She seems to be displaying some signs of broodiness. Dipping her claws so to speak. I very much doubt anything is wrong with her. You seem very attentive and have the camera so just keep an eye on her but mostly just observe and let her do her thing. The questions of, "is she really broody?", and all that, can really only be answered by her in time.but why sit about half of yesterday, and all night and not roost? Why isn't she eating the regular food? She seems to be acting normal other than that. Her comb is nice and pink, she laid yesterday, she is walking normal.........
it is a weird thing, looking forward to it for so long, and then like a few hours and it is done! And ya it blows my mind every time. 3 weeks ago those eggs were breakfast. Heat and time, the only ingredients, and "poof!" the freakin miracle of life in front of your eyes lolwow look at all those babies ready to pop on out! pretty soon it is going to be filled with fluffy balls and not eggs.![]()
It is amazing how quick! I had to laugh at 3 weeks ago those eggs were breakfast though. LOL But it is so true!it is a weird thing, looking forward to it for so long, and then like a few hours and it is done! And ya it blows my mind every time. 3 weeks ago those eggs were breakfast. ok. ya not really worried if she is broody or not. I figure she will end up showing me sooner or later. More worried something is wrong or wondering if this is normal. I try to be attentive and notice anything "off". I think sometimes the camera helps others it hurts since I notice so much more and then worry. LOL But I do have one that hasn't laid since March 25 but I watch her and she is behaving normal so that helps think with out the camera I would worry more about her wondering if she is behaving normal all the time etc.I would chalk it up to weird spring hormones. Yeah, it can be hard sometimes, for me anyway, to find that perfect balance between caring for/worrying about my animals. I grew up in a city, and now I have between 50-100 animals in my care at any given time and for a while it was literally keeping me up at night because I really care about their quality of life. The strategy I try to implement is to be ALWAYS observing, RARELY intervening. My thoughts are if i observe behaviors/patterns constantly I can set my animal systems up in a way that requires very little from me on the day to day for the animals to flourish.ok. ya not really worried if she is broody or not.
