Thanks! Thank you so much! My dad kept the manual so I had no idea what I was doing! And thank you for the humidity tip!To make the auto turner work again you can just reset the number of incubation days each time you fill the incubator. It has a feature where it shuts off automatically on day 18 so if you leave it on zero it won't turn.
Also the manufacturer recommends using distilled water, I've been using that and I fill it morning and evening and haven't had any issues with humidity. I do live in Georgia, which is like living in a sauna but my incubators are indoors where the AC/heat keep the air dry. I also fill the reservoir all the way and just open the vent wider. It lasts quite a long time when you do that.
Hatching chicks seriously never gets old for me! I said I was going to stop for the season but after talking to several of my chicken friends I now have Speckled Sussex, Blue/Splash/Black Copper Marans, and Cream Legbars hatching next week and agreed to hatch Mottled English Orpingtons, Gold Laced Orpingtons, and the big test Mallards!

Their afros are the best! That looks really similar to the material I was thinking of using! Is it a style of drawer liner as well or a mat that is specifically used for Hatching?
