Harrisburgh Pa. Farm Show on Jan12th

No idea if chickens are for sale. This is the first time I'm going. I hope to go tomorrow and I can find out and post tomorrow night unless someone else knows?

I would like to ask the same question. Will there be a sale area like some of the other poultry shows have, or is this fair specifically for display and competition. Would anyone who's been there know?

There are a few of us us that would like to know if there will be sale's on chickens there and I wish someone could soon add a comment on this because most of the reason I will be going depend on whether or not there will be chickens for sale there. Please someone that may know post!!!!!

I just settled in all my entries tonight and I didn't see any birds for sale. I think if you really like a bird that is being shown though, you can contact the breeder and see if they have any birds available that they could bring up later in the week or see if they would like to sell you that particular bird.

Wish us luck! Their was around thirty silkies alone! There is over 1800 birds!

Good Luck Hannah! Sounds like there's a lot of competition. I'm sure you will come away with more than a few awards.

We're headed there tomarrow. Dress warm everybody!

Well, how'd you do? When we left today, Jack Tickle had a Plymouth White Rock cock and a Black Langshan hen on Champion Row. How'd it end up? Someone had a really nice mottled bantam cochin up there as well, but I didn't catch who the exhibitor was.

We were there when they announced the grand champion. It was one of the white geese with the fluffy white top on its head. Not sure of the breed or owner. Reserve grand went to a bantam RIR. Really enjoyed the show. Kinda thought there would be vendors with chicken stuff and more farming vendors in general. Not that there wern't a lot of vendors! The food was fabulous. My husband will go with me again next year just because of that!
