It is a small space, I put a sock inside another in there with her so it's long ways. Hopefully that will work. I would totally let her sleep with me (with a napkin under her butt) but not even chancing it. I know we would roll on her so..... not an option
Yes maam. I had a really big area for all the ducklings. Once I realized she could not join the others, I put her in a box, inside the bigger brooder. I have a tiny temp.guage inside small box with her as well, just to make sure heat is getting to her, or not getting too much . The other 3 sometines lay up against the edge of her box, it's really cute.
Yep not a good idea to have one sleep with us. Too easy to roll on one.
But...I'm getting another heat lamp tomorrow because I'd like to take her box out. The others are getting real curious.
Honestly, no maam. I should have done that. It was just enough for her to stand and it around half of her body. I should've out more in & didnt even think about it until afterwards when I reread your post
Ok, so I have Vitamin E, poly vi sol, and some other vitamins/electrolyte mixtures. The Vitamin E and poly vi sol are really rough to get in her. The vitamin e is the capsule with oil. I guess I need to find another version(?) Just like the poly vi sol, I tried dropping some on her beak and she just shakes it off. Will it be ok, with the oily consistency, to just use a dropper into her mouth?
