I got 9 Hubbard day olds, 6 weeks ago, iv reared loads of chick before but never a spcific meat chicken. I was lead to believe that these were a slow growing, freeranging bird. But so far, they just sit/lay an eat, they are in a coop in my orchard as i thought they would love the wind falls, but they dont even go out unless i shoo them out, then they walk a few steps an sit an peck the ground, is this normal for this breed of bird?
