These are similar to body check eggs. The egg shell got cracked during the calcification process and mended just before being laid. Cause:

- Stress, frights or disturbance during the calcification process.

Oh, it does look exactly like the one in the article! We had a hawk around for awhile. Maybe Queenie had a fright. Thanks for this.

Yikes, glad it repaired itself & not break in her. If this was the second time & she's 2.5yo I'd keep an eye on her, she may be starting reproductive issues. What color is the egg, looks white?

It is actually a green egg. The flash on my camera made it look white.
