Has anyone tried this?

No.

Initially I put pavers around the edges of my 75-80 gallon tanks. Now they aren’t needed. Once I move the 110 gallon tanks I’ll need to sink them, or partially sink and create steps. Right now they’re brooders still.

I'm installing a 300 gallon stock tack for mine, its half buried in the side of a hill with the drain plug on the down hill side

I am putting a safety fence (or as I like to think of it back stop) on the down hill side as on a test swim I learned they will launch themselves out of the water like a gosh darn torpedo with no care for how far the pool is up off the ground. The duck was fine and if fact though this was the best thing EVER,on my part the phone took a spill and some swears were said.

Put the claw foot tub outside the enclosure for you... fancy sittin’ Pool :)

I want any reason to incorporate a claw foot tub, so I understand.

and that got me thinking- build a duck deck and inset the tub

The top hat! Yes, we should not give up on claw foot tubs. Though as I search around they all seem to be $300 or more, which I am not spending on a duck pool :(

The torpedo action! My khaki campbells are good at the torpedo. I think because they are smaller they can get up more speed in the pool easily!

it was super cute watching them play on this!
Unfortunately it was untreated wood and didn't last.:(
It broke all to pieces when I went to move it after winter was over.
