Has it been considered?

Just wondering if a section for jokes, tall tales, etc. had been considered? ("Why did the chicken...?"

)Sort of like the "Games", to keep all that sort of stuff in one group?

The other question I was pondering: I know there is a section for breeds, which included the general drawings of some of the breeds out there. Would it be possible to create, or add to the current section, a place where members could post real photos of hens and roosters instead of only the drawings that appear now? The drawings are not always the best way to identify some breeds, and some people have crosses that are worthy of looking at too. If it were alphabetized by breed, like the current breed section, with a separate section for crosses. Maybe it would be too complicated. I don't know, but I thought it would be a cool idea. I had been looking at one of the current threads where folks are posting photos of their 'roos' and it's what inspired me to ask about this.

As far as seeing live representations of the breeds rather than drawings, it probably would be easiest to have a link to Feathersite.com since that site already has photos of all the breeds of chickens plus lots of other birds.

I think that Rob and CC are trying to limit the number of topics that are not chicken related, so I would suggest putting jokes and such in a "jokes" thread inside Social or even the Games topic.

Yup, what chel said!

For now, put jokes, tales, etc. in either the social or games sections. Regarding pictures of breeds, this may be something we add to the site down the road. Chel is right, there are some great sites with wonderful chicken pictures.

No bother at all, in fact, it is a great idea. I'd love to build a system where people could upload their pictures to a specific breed section. I'll put that on my very long to-thinkabout-doing list.
