My thoughts exactly... now my next question is how could these possibly black sex links then? None had a white spot. Going they be black Asian chickens?

He’s not a black sex link. If he was he would be barred.

With the lacing on the chest, he is not an Australorp. No bars so not a Barred Rock.
Mixed breed something?

Exactly my point, he didn’t have the white spot on his head and he isn’t barred.. that’s what they were labeled as so I’m at a loss!

I know! They were labeled as BSL but they all have white on their chests and the irredentist green feathers. They look so similar to the Japanese black/Asian black but are they only bantams?

Comparing the chick to your hand I think it's too big for a bantam.

No, the specific ones here are def not bantams but I thought the black Japanese were only bantams? Just an assumption. Obviously don’t know that for sure as I know nothing much about the breed at all
