. Im in lockdown right now on day 20. Out of 24 eggs 19 went into lockdown but I think only 10 at most were good eggs.

I just noticed this hatchalong! I set two little Serama eggs from one of my young pairs on Jan. 6th..they went into lockdown last night, and will be due Sunday night at some time. This is my second attempt to hatch from this pair (they are only 7 months old, so the pullet has not been laying long). Both babies were bouncing around in the eggs at candling last night, so I am hoping they make it to hatch this time!

Day 7 on my shipped silkie eggs. Candled them a bit ago. 9 of 13 showing veins and even movement! Not one has a decent air cell. At least half are saddle cells and all are pretty large and wobbly. I haven't been turning them so I guess this is as good as they're going to get! I will start turning them now....I guess side to side but basically upright in a carton till lockdown? Then on their side to hatch? I hope at least some survive! Good luck everyone!

If the air cells are all that bad I would keep them vertical all the way. You can chat with some experts about it here; https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...ell-detatched-shipped-eggs/4410#post_10345369
