Hatch-a-long! ~ Anyone setting 8JAN-15JAN??

Chick in the burbs I thought I would post the results of my eggs that hatch from the same seller as you. I was not near as lucky to get 100% hatch like cbnovick did. I recieved 24 eggs and only 19 went into lockdown. Out of those 19, I got 8 chicks happy and healthy, 1 egg sadly had a baby pip the wrong end and didnt make it and I still have 10 in the incubator just incase since we are only on the night of day 22(im not hopefull for the others to hatch). I am hoping you get a better hatch rate than me. I ll be watching to see your results. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it didn't go so well, but I LOVE the fluffies. Of my original 22, 19 will be going into lockdown, barring any stinkers. I am very hopeful on 16 of them but 3 I figure are highly unlikely to hatch. Two eggs that I am suspicious stopped developing and one with a Seriously Funky air cell (saddle shaped). Is it weird that I am keeping a by-egg log of notes?

Sorry to hear it didn't go so well, but I LOVE the fluffies.

I have a notebook and I keep tons of notes on my eggs. Its not weird at all.

Hi! As promised, I am posting some pics today of that lavender chick hatched from Azriel seller on 1/09/13. I think this one is a pullet-fingers crossed...the first is when she was 1 day...the rest are today at 2 1/2 weeks. I have sold all but 4 that I am keeping/growing out. I will get more pics tomorrow of the other 3. Congrats to you gals on your hatches and soon-to-be's...soooo much fun!!
P.S. I am setting another big batch this coming thursday most likely. 14 paint, splash and lavender silkies...24 german line Heritage New Hampshires...from Oregon and Nebraska. Gotta keep rollin' until the heat sets in here in AZ in May...then I will be done until Late Fall.

What ya got in your incubator cookin' right now???

The last 10 eggs from the same batch of EE and OE eggs. Im kepping them in for a litle bit longer just incase I have a few late hatchers. Im not hopefull.

Ok I checked my eggs before lock down and one have a very dark circle at the Morton of the egg? Did I loose a baby? I kept it in there.

AnimalLover- Woooohooooo!!!

Ceocka- Better to error on the side of letting it go. If it did die that late it wouldn't be about to explode or anything and if it didn't die it would be a shame to remove a viable embryo.
