Hatch-Along Chickentopia 2.0

Well phooey on my thermometers. I think I’m about convinced to just go with what the incubators think. I got water inside the baggie during the ice test before we could get down to freezing, and I can’t see how we’ll fit them in there once the eggs go in. Also I am scared to bump up the temp a degree and cook somebody.

If the thermometers were originally showing 1-2 degrees lower than the incubator, I would probably incubate at 100 or 100.5. 100.5 is actually what purina suggests for incubating. Do what you think is best, but I have had lower hatch rates when incubating at cooler temps (unknowingly) than I have when incubating at slightly warmer temps.

Thank you, I slept on it and that made sense. I have bumped each up a degree, and a new set of thermometers arrived this morning. They calibrated correctly. Now that eggs are freshly loaded I will give it a few hours and see where it is at.
