I'm doing a little experiment of my own... clean washed eggs vs. dirty unwashed eggs.. The farmer I got them from sold me a doz fertile eggs laid the very day I bought them. for 6 dollars. Since it was my first time buying fertile eggs from him he gave me a doz "for breakfast" he said. I said oh are they fertile?? and he says oh no you don't want to incubate those, they have been cleaned.. well I stuck them in the bator too and so far so good. I think I had to toss more of the "fertile hatching eggs" I've read pleanty of posters who do it both ways. I just want to see for myselfBesides it cheaper to buy the "breakfast eggs" lol.![]()
