ChickenCanoe, I had that same windstorm. We kept our electricity but our coop and run is in a shed that has a tin roof and a big portion of the tin on top of the run part blew backwards, it's currently standing straight up until I can climb up there and nail it all back down :(

3D - You're making me soooo nervous!! any more news? I just started building my first incubator out of an old dishwasher. I'm starting to be afraid to put eggs in it in case I do something wrong...
Don't worry! What are the things that you are making it out of? Mine was made out of barely acceptable things! I was just using a heat lamp and a styrafoam box with holes poked in the side and water reservoirs (jars of water). The thermometer and hygrometer were cheap dollar store things, so I am REALLY surprised that one hatched at all! The rest didn't hatch because I had to open the incubator a lot to help out Hope. Low temperatures at lock down can cause the chicks to become sticky, so that's prolly what did the most damage. MAKE SURE THE BROODER IS WARM AND READY TO GO! I only had one heat lamp, cause I figured that they would all hatch at the same time, and I could just transfer them to the brooder once they were all fluffy- Newbie mistake! Don't worry because of me. I have pretty much no money to buy better equipment. I'm sure you'll do great! (a lot better than me anyway XD)

lol...I think they just ran out of stone

I'm not buying it
Actually, it was just their calendar coming to an end- just like ours does at the end of the year. We just buy a new one and start over again. The calendar was just starting over again.
