Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

ChickenCanoe, I had that same windstorm. We kept our electricity but our coop and run is in a shed that has a tin roof and a big portion of the tin on top of the run part blew backwards, it's currently standing straight up until I can climb up there and nail it all back down :(

3D - You're making me soooo nervous!! any more news? I just started building my first incubator out of an old dishwasher. I'm starting to be afraid to put eggs in it in case I do something wrong...

I've not heard anyone say anything about the membrane, look back at some of the past posts and it looks to me like the membrane in the past, I wouldn't think anything is wrong with it.

I just want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy New Year,,,,,,,,,,oh if we make it another hour

OK. Will do. Was a bit worried my humidity wasn't right.

do tell-why can you not incubate in your off grid home? We are in a passive solar berm house and have plans for a wind turbine and solar panels to nudge our home the final bit. Now I need to know! ;) WHY????

We dont have enough solar panels yet to run continuously / only use it for lighting and small appliances. We use a backup generator for bigger stuff. Have only been here a few months and we just don't have everything in place yet. Also, we are paying as we go on the solar so it hasn't been as quick as we'd hoped. I'll be able to incubate in the future just not yet :)

I fly so often the baggage handlers and customs guys and I are on a first name basis..

I will to a photo journal all the way and post  it here.

I would be happy to do a deal to hatch some eggs for you anytime OGM. Perhaps you could foster some for me in return for the eggs of the next generation - i am renting in socal so i cant have chooks - but I would love to get a few breeds going for the Phils.

Sounds like a good idea :)
