Hatch Along - Setting eggs June 7th.....anyone else?

Love the pictures everyone!

Up to seven this morning, with a few more hopefully working on coming out. Got a couple shots. The porcelain Silkie is going to the BYC friend who loaned me the bator.

I set 48 eggs...35 into lock down..7:30 on the 21st day and only 10 chicks so far....

...some more are piping...so there is still hope!

Just got home..there are 4 chicks now and two more pipping. One of the EE chicks that hatched while I wasn't here has what looks like an umbilical cord still dragging around. Is that normal? Will it dry up and drop off? The chick is getting around good and active.

It seems the 14 early birds might be my only birds The 7 left in there are not doing anything, not even the ones I know I had seen something in. I am kinda bummed as I only got one blue and one black copper marans if no more hatch. I am trying to stay positive since yesterday was "hatch day" maybe these are just late bloomers?

DeannaOR: I am not sure about the cord, I think it does dry up and fall off. Is the chick dry and fluffy yet? Mine all sort of exploaded out of their shells and were off running with little rest lol. Kinda makes me wonder what I am up for in the future

I have two now with the umbilical cord still hanging there. They both seem fine. The first one I just took out and washed gently..I think you would call it a sticky chick. I put it back in the incubator to dry The second chick also looks like it might be sticky..but I'm going to give it more time. I've had two more hatch an Ameraucana and a BLRW.

One of the chicks..the first one hatched is monster sized, she is an EE and huge! I think Monster chick is actually giving me the stink eye in this photo.

Can anyone post pictures of BLRW chick? I'm not sure if we have the blue laced, splash..or some other color.

OK I now have 22 out of 35 with 2 more piped ...had to help 2 out they are both very tired but seem fine. One of them has the umbilical cord dragging ,,,but it is very wet still! I have 2 more piped ...they have been hatching for 3 days! But it's OK if they just keep hatching!
