Gosling Update:
I took the top of the shell off, then I smeared antibiotic sab onto the inner membrane with a Q tip. I can see the baby perfectly, but those bloods vessels are really intimidating. He's correctly positioned with his beak near the air cell in the lower section. I think I'll see if he pips himself first, because I don't want to hit those veins. He looks like a healthy gosling otherwise.

so of 7 in batch2 I have 5 for 11 total.... I feel bad because they were both doing so well...oh, well...
the newborns are watching them enviously through a wire barrier I put in the brooder...they don't do much at under 24 hours old....
